New Nintendo 3DS XL - Black
Game Boy and Nintendo DSi
The Game Boy is to-date the most successful handheld game console of all times, even though only 85 games were released for the little box from 1989 to 1993. Its predecessor, the Game & Watch Handheld, which was developed by Gunpei Yokoi in 1980, only had one fixed game and individual control elements.
NES-controller
Game Boy continues the typical minimalist design of the manufacturer with its limited control elements resembling the NES-controller. This encourages new players and offers a radical simplicity that is continued with the current DSi, where only two keys (“X” and “Y”) - complemented with touch screen capacity - account for the increased functions. Two monitors in the foldable device offer new possibilities.
WiFi connection
Today the portable game console is also a multimedia player and a camera. It is equipped with a WiFi connection and the two cameras are incorporated into the game. The uniformly applied color scheme renders the design even more stringently purist.
